Devo Reflection

PSALM 147

God heals
He binds up wounds
He numbers the stars and names them
He is great and so is His power
He has great understanding
He lifts up the humble and casts down the wicked to the ground.
He covers the Heavens with clouds, causes rain upon the earth, provides food for the animals, including ravens.

*v 11 – He takes pleasure in those who fear Him, in those who hope in His steadfast love.

Prayer:

Lord,
Increase my faith in Your almighty power. God of Moses, who opened up the oceans, God of David who made a shepherd boy courageous, I’m calling on Your faithfulness. The lack of faith has been so lacking, it depresses me and brings me down. Bringing a smile on my face has been tricky these days, but somehow You help me have the energy and ability to still do so. I’m having a hard time accepting what You can do because I’m eager to know what Your will is for my life. God of Mary, all things are possible because of Your power. I may not be facing Goliath, but it feels like I’m facing giants everyday that I cannot overcome; I know I cannot overcome them on my own. I need Your armour to protect me against the attacks of the enemy every time He tries to knock me out. You’ve led me this far, not to just make it, THIS far. I know You are able, and I believe in Your grace. I claim that You are my Heavenly Father who has a beautiful will for my life. Help me be patient and seek truth in Your word to encourage me to get through each day. It’s a simple prayer and I know we can only go up from here. Thank You for blessing me with Your presence every day.
