Fathers are important. They’re the head of the family, they’re the leaders of the household. Everyone has a dad, a father-figure, a mentor, or a best friend.
An integral lesson about fathers is found in Hebrews 12:7-11
“Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? If you are not disciplined – and everyone undergoes discipline – then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all. Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live! (v7-9)
We need male figures in our lives for direction, for guidance. We need our Heavenly father to be our leader, our companion.
As we celebrate and appreciate fathers, I pray that we remember our Father, our Creator.
Much love.
