SHORT POEM SERIES – God’s Armour Part 1

My standards, expectations and plans will never be as good as God’s.

Navigating life’s choices
when the noise
is getting too loud;
The volume, it clouds
my thoughts,
The mind can’t find a kind word.

Every. attack – God’s got my back, right?
I must fight.
My will – still not better than God’s.
My conscience is in a battle,
My core, rattled.

Breathe.
Write.
Listen.

Ephesians 6:13, 14 says,
“Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armour so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil.
Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armour God’s righteousness.”

So the next time that you feel like your standards, expectations, and plans aren’t as good as God’s, believe it
– He knows what’s best for you.

Always remember, you are created with purpose and called to love.
